Third navy area command

 Area Command   With duties to defend the country and protect national sovereignty and interest at sea,  the Royal Thai Navy has established 3 Naval Area Commands ,  First and Second Naval Area Commands to work
in  the Gulf  of the Thailand, and Third Naval Area Commands in the Andaman on 11 March  1992 .

 
 
   

Responsibilities

      The area of responsibilities of the Third Naval Area Command starts from the coastline of Ranong  Province all the way down to that of Phang-nga Province, Phuket Province, Krabi Province,  Trang Province and Satun Province with the overall length of 300 nautical  miles
and extends into another   30,000 square miles of  the Exclusive Economic Zone in the Andaman  Sea adjacent to the Indian territorial  water  to the west and the Myanmar territorial water to the north  Malaysian and Indonesian territorial waters to the south.
