1. In Praise of His Majesty the King

With lotus hands we bow in respect
To His Majesty King Bhumibol
Who reigned in righteousness for sixty years
May the Gods rain blessings on our Lord of Life.

We prostrate ourselves, oh Lord, at the feet of King Bhumibol
Who reigned the land for sixty years, bringing much prosperity to the land.

Under His reign, all are happy and developed
Living protected and peaceful lives, all praised His Name.

Like a golden light that shines, like a golden thread that binds
The longer it glows and glitters, the more the people live in happiness.

His hands wipe away all suffering and sickness
Dispels all darkness, bringing to the people light and coolness.

The land that he rules becomes a golden land, a just land
Whenever hardship appears, He dispels it with his hardworking hands.

So much work, so many things and people in need
A day of rest, for Him, a rare thing indeed !

His Palace is the fields, His curtains - the mountains
The heat and cold of the day, all surround him like perfume.

If one can count His footsteps, it would measure around the globe
The sweat he shed for His people, would have flooded the nation.

He is just because he "takes action" and leads by example.
If we all follow him, the world would be ours.

When disaster strikes, laying low everyone
He turns things around and helps us to stand

When draught hits and hungers abounds.
He pours rains on the dry and arid sand.

A river of kindness arising from the vast sea of compassion
Every action, every breath full of benevolence.

His graciousness spreads around the kingdom
Protecting all, uplifting all under his care.

He practices the Ten Virtues and in ten directions, he alleviates all suffering
His Greatness becomes known all around, even internationally

We, the Royal Thai Navy and all of his subjects deeply realize
His compassion and pay a tribute to Our Wise King

We offer Your Majesty, a necklace of Truth for garland
All our virtues we prostrate at Your Mighty feet

May the Sacredness of the Triple Gems and Your Majesty's Great Virtue
And all the Gods of the Universe, bless Your Majesty

For a Long Life of More than a Hundred Year
May Sickness Be Gone, All Dangers Dispelled

May Your Majesty Live in Happiness and Good Health
Your Majesty's Heart be without worries, both day and night.

What ever Your Majesty Wishes, May it Be Yours
Even Attainment of Nirvana. May Your Majesty Live as in Heaven forever.

2. The Beauty of the Royal Barge Procession

Floating like Gems of Heaven, Beckoning at the Sky
The Water surround you, caress you.

Royal Barges, how majestic thou art in waters
Floating, as though on a visit from heaven.

Suphannahongse, with your plumes, so beautiful to behold
Narai Song Suban, you look as though you have flown down from the sky.

Anantanagaraj, so pretty when you are floating
Anekchatbhuchong, so playful in the water

Krabi, you look so proud and grand
Krut, waiting for noone, you are taking naga up to the clouds.

Asura Vayupak, so dignified next to Asura Paksin
Rowing as though birds spreading wings, ready to fly

Rua Saeng is competing against Rua Dang among the waves
Rua Chai is so nice, next to Rua King so beautiful to behold.

Giants and Monkeys are playing together, all ornamented
Animals abound, ready to jump around

The small barges surrounding the large barges, glitteringly move
Like diamonds, the oars flashing together as one.

A long line, a long row, led by a waving flag
The barges are so majestic, surely magically conjured up by angels!

The multi-coloured clothes add to the festivities
The oarsmen row in time, the flags waving so brightly

The barge chant echoes around, mesmerizing, mysterious,
Such magical song cannot compare to this song from the navy's heart

Superb craftsmanship abound, exquisitely ornamented and designed
A lifeless log, invested with beauty and spirit as though alive

Naval architecture at its most excellence
Look closely and let the spirit of Thai artisans inspire you

Thus is our national heritage, that should be trumpeted far and wide
Second to none, our ancestors possess all skills so fine

We should protect and preserve the heritage for the future
So all can admire, the Pride of the Nation of Thai

If not the Thais, who would see the value
We would lose all joy, all art that is beauty

My dear children, Thai Art is still alive for you to behold
Do not standby and let it die, protect it for the future.

Proclaim this pride to the world and let it be know that Thai Art
Is one of the world's Gems. Hold it close to your heart.

Boat Chant, swan song of the sirens,
I give thee to the stars and moon, Be with the world forever.

3. The Beauty of Bangkok

Siam, you who are so well known, you have survived well through the Ages
The tri-colour flags around the world have flown. May you fly tall forever.

The nation of Siam, such beauty under the Royal umbrella.
Your fame has been sung all around the globe.

From Sukhothai to Ayudhaya,
to Thonburi, your names are engraved for always.

Rattanakosin is a descendant of the cities
That angles moved from heaven to earth.

Chao Phraya, thy endless flow of water
has blesses Thais with abundant to drink and eat

So beautiful the glittering temples and palace
In the twilight, a bell tolls your exquisite song.

Tall Chedis line your bank, towards the sky
Many Prangs towers lie adjacent to the city.

Fruits, vegetables, staple food grow in abundance
Fields, farms and forests, so green and lush

Oh, Chao Phraya, you have flown so long and so far,
fed the land and this golden nation of ours..

Golden rice fill the whole field, the rainbow plays over the canal
Rice and fish can be found in plenty, the trading boats are plied.

The temples all shine with Buddhist faith
And thus kindness has never faded from the heart of Thais.

Buddhism, pure and true has been proven ov'r time
To Thais, it is the shining light and truth.

His Majesty practices Buddhism and proclaimed it so
And Thais have been blessed and protected under its powers.

Under the monk's robe, the nation remains prosperous
Following the precepts and self-sacrifice, the nation is at peace.

This land of Buddhist beliefs has shown the world that virtues,
Perseverance and goodness alleviate suffering and hardship.

The lotus of compassion is blooming within the heart of the people
The ready smile is testament to the kindness and friendship.

We pay respect to the Triple Gems, donate to the temples
And make grand our religious places.

The Emerald Buddha remains foremost in our prayers
As we renew our resolution to do good with deep faith and with joy.

His Majesty is the top Jewel in our Nation
His virtues envelops us like an umbrella.

The tri-colour flag, known all around the world
Flies as another symbol of Thai dignity, so proud.

No matter now or in the future, our sovereignty remains sacred
Those who wish ill to the country will be destroyed.

Oh, the Thai sky, your beauty exceeds all others
The Thai anthem fills my heart with pride.

At the Sixtieth years of Your Rule, the whole nations gratefully
Pays homage to the Chakri Dynasty.

May the Angels grant Your Majesty's every wish
And May You and the Royal Family Live Long and in Great Prosperity..
